There is a strong emphasis on sustainability on site, guests are asked to sort and recycle as much waste as they can, the cabins and hot water are heated using renewable energy and the cabins were built using local wood and maximum insulation. A native woodland has been planted and the owners are experimenting with letting the land revert to its natural state to encourage more diversity. There is a natural swimming pond on site which is visited by otters in the winter. There is also a rowing boat and a jetty for pond dipping. Children and adults love the rope swing at the top of the site.
