About this campground
This stylish tree house is tucked away at 10,000 feet above sea level in a remote corner of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Colorado, and provides up to four guests with a truly secluded and off-grid getaway. Please note, this is not a hotel stay. This is a glamping experience. This treehouse does require guest set up and take down...including setting up a 40 lbs ladder, setting up kitchen cart, camp chairs and table, and opening up exterior metal panels. There is a large sofa which can be used as a bed for two (or an air mattress can be placed on top of the large sofa for more of a "bed-like" feel). The loft can accommodate an additional two average adult-sized guests.

There is a composting toilet, and waste bags are provided. Trash, including toilet waste, must be taken away upon check out (recommended guests bring a 5 gallon bucket with sealing lid for transport). There are no showers, no bedding or linens provided, so guests must bring their own sleeping bags, blankets and pillows. In the living area, guests will find the large sectional sofa in front of the wood-burning stove, a perfect place to sit together for some evening cocktails. Guests can enjoy the incredible views through the treehouse windows. Outside the treehouse, the deck offers spectacular views! There's nothing better than relaxing on the deck with morning coffee while looking out towards Culebra Peak and the magnificent Sangre De Cristo Mountain Range. Culebra Peak (14K elevation) is a privately owned peak (class 2) and can be climbed in half a day by contacting Cielo Vista Ranches. Camping chairs, a table, and the kitchen must be set up by guests on the deck. For food preparation, a two-burner propane camp stove is provided along with pots, pans, plates, and utensils for up to four people. Guests can expect a wonderful stay in one of the best tree houses in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Reviews
Overall, this campsite offers a unique and serene glamping experience in a beautifully scenic location. Reviewers consistently praise the stunning views, cleanliness, and the attentiveness of the host, Jorge, who is noted for his quick responses and helpfulness. While the treehouse is well-equipped, some guests mentioned the need to bring their own bedding and noted that the space can feel tight for larger groups. Additionally, the off-the-grid nature of the site may not appeal to everyone, but for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle, this spot comes highly recommended.
