About this campground
The off-grid canvas bell tent is located on beautiful 112 acre property. The ecosystem includes mature sugar maple forest, evergreen forest, Niagara escarpment and the river Manitou running through it. There are also trails to explore. The tent is just 4 minutes walk away from the parking spot, in a secluded and quiet forest environment. We provide you with a cart, so it is easy to bring all your belongings to the spot. The bell tent is equipped with everything you need to have a comfortable stay: cozy beds, a fire pit place, a kitchenette with running water, cooking supplies and a propane stove, hammocks and electrical power station. There is a cedar outhouse and shower close to the tent.

NEW FOR 2025 SEASON: we have made some significant upgrades to provide you with a more comfortable glamping experience. Now we have a running hot and cold water in the kitchen and a comfortable outdoor shower. This is an off-grid experience but we provide you with a portable electrical station that you can use to charge your devices. Also the ground in the camping area has been evened out. IMPORTANT: this is a camping experience, so if you are looking for a cottage experience for the price of camping, please don’t book this place. The tent is in the forested environment, so mosquitos and other insects are naturally to be expected here. PETS Please note that if you are planning to bring a pet, there is an additional fee charged for this. When you book your stay, add your pet to the booking , so the fee is calculated and added to the overall amount. In case you miss it, the fee will be requested retroactively. We ask you to keep your pet on the leash when you are in the parking area and around our homestead as we have our own pets and other guests with pets. But when you are in your glamping area, you are welcome to keep your pets off the leash if you are comfortable doing that. WATER There is running cold and hot water in the glamping area that can be used for showering, cooking and cleaning dishes. KITCHEN The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, cups, glasses, plates and cutlery and other helpful cooking utensils. There is a propane stove that can be used for cooking. You can also use a fire pit with a grill grate to cook your meals. As for the fridge we provide you with a cooler with ice packs and we can always exchange used ice packs for the frozen ones when you need them. There is a sink with running water to easily clean dishes. SLEEPING There are two comfortable Queen size mattresses in the tent, so there are 4 sleeping spaces. In case only a group of one or two people is renting the space, the extra mattress can be folded and be used as a couch. OUTHOUSE The cedar outhouse is located outside, it is compost style, so you have to put a scoop of provided wood shavings on the matter every time you go to the bathroom. SHOWER There is a comfortable new cedar shower in the glamping area that you can enjoy during your stay. ELECTRICITY This is an off-grid experience but for your convenience we provide you with a portable electric station that can be used to charge your devices and power some small appliances. The lights in the glamping area are all powered with solar panels. OTHER AMENITIES The bell tent is located in a private spot among mature trees, it has a fire pit with firewood to be used for burning. There are also two comfortable hammocks and of course over 100 acres of the property to hike on well-established trails. We have an organic garden and a greenhouse as a part of our homestead, so if you are interested in purchasing fresh produce, we’ll be able to assist you. TRAILS There are well-marked trails on the property. There is lots to explore on this beautiful 112 acres of land. CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT Please, arrive between 3pm and 9pm and check out is by 10am.
