🏡 SPACE Nestled in a lush green setting in Saulieu, on the property of your hosts Marie and Benjamin, your Tiny House is immersed in nature under the soothing shade of beautiful trees and just steps away from the most remarkable places in Côte-d’Or. During the day, explore the timeless wonders of this centuries-old terroir, marked by traditional farming. In the evening, enjoy a breathtaking view of the stars, a perfect moment to reconnect with your partner, friends, or family. Please note: The Tiny House is set in a beautiful natural environment; however, a road (Route de Lyon) passes about 100 meters away. Traffic can be busy at certain hours but quiets down around 7 PM. We prefer to be transparent about this. If you’re seeking absolute silence, we recommend our other destinations. But if you want to be in the heart of Côte-d’Or’s highlights while surrounded by greenery, you’re in the right place! 🛋️ Your Tiny House (14 m²) Includes: Sleeping area: Queen-size bed (160x200 cm) for 2 adults + a convertible bench (extra bed for 1 adult) Kitchenette: refrigerator, gas stove, sink, utensils, dishes, and condiments Living/dining area: table and chairs Bathroom: sink, Italian-style shower, and eco-friendly dry toilet Soaps, towels, and bed linen provided Heated by a pellet stove Ceiling fan for cooling (no air conditioning) Outdoor furniture (except in winter): table, chairs, hammocks Potable water via a 5L fountain (tap water is from a tank and should not be consumed; it’s for showering and washing dishes) Cleaning included Free parking 🍷 Optional Dining (upon reservation at least 48 hours in advance): Your host Marie can deliver: Breakfast – €12 per person Aperitif platter – €35–40 with wine Gourmet baskets with local Morvan products: terrine, biscuits, wine, etc. ⚡ GOOD TO KNOW The Tiny House is completely self-sufficient: Solar panels produce electricity Gas stove for cooking Pellet stove for heating Water stored in a tank You’ll have all the usual comforts, but this eco-friendly home encourages awareness of your consumption. A few important rules during your stay: Only charge phones and laptops—do not plug in other electrical appliances (hairdryers, straighteners, raclette machines, etc.) Do not modify the stove settings (except temperature) Do not change the water heater settings in the bathroom Only use the 100% natural products provided, as wastewater is filtered by plants Pets are not allowed (sorry, animal lovers!) 🚪 ACCESS Check-in: from 5 PM Check-out: before 11 AM Key box available for late arrivals Free parking near the cabin 📝 NOTES The cabin is located on Marie and Benjamin’s property. They live a bit further away in their home—they’re very friendly and discreet, but you may cross paths with them (and their dogs). No WiFi (but 4G works well on site) The entrance is not step-free and not accessible for persons with reduced mobility (PRM) Bed linen is washed but not ironed 🌄 Nearby Activities & Attractions From your refuge, adventures large and small await: Saulieu village (gastronomy & sculptures) – 2 min Basilica of Saint-Andoche – 2 min François Pompon Museum – 5 min Morvan Regional Natural Park – 5 min Chamboux Lake – 5 min Mont Saint-Jean Castle – 15 min Thil Fortress – 20 min Missery Castle – 18 min Saut de Gouloux Waterfall – 20 min Morvan Vélorail – 25 min Semur-en-Auxois medieval town – 30 min Settons Lake – 30 min Époisses Castle – 30 min Chaumeçon Lake – 35 min Auxois Wildlife Park – 35 min Autun (Roman theater, Janus Temple, Saint-Lazare Cathedral) – 40 min Châteauneuf Castle – 40 min Commarin Castle – 40 min Alésia Museum Park – 40 min Canal of Burgundy – 40 min Sully Castle – 40 min Chastellux Castle – 43 min Fontenay Abbey – 50 min Bussy-Rabutin Castle – 50 min Hôtel-Dieu – Hospices de Beaune – 57 min Bibracte Archaeological Site & Museum – 57 min Bazoches Castle (home of Vauban) – 57 min Burgundy Wine Route (Dijon to Santenay) – 1 h Dijon (UNESCO city, fine arts museum) – 1 h 🍽️ About the Region Located just outside Saulieu, a renowned hub of French gastronomy and terroir—home to the legendary Relais Bernard Loiseau—this is a must-stop in the region.
