Outside seating area with two chairs and a coffee table, where you can enjoy a book, plan your next hike, watch the beautiful nature that surrounds you or simply relax and listen to birds. Additonally you can use your private chill-out area with double seater couch, dining table with chairs and a BBQ gas grill for an enjoyable and relaxing time-out on our banana plantation. We are ideally located on the sunny south side of Madeira, just a few minutes to the villages of Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava as well as one of the most famous levada hikes, the Levada Nova which leads behind a waterfall. The capital Funchal is just 15 minutes by car and the airport can be reached within 40 minutes. You can also walk to a pebbled / sand beach directly from us or reach it with your car/taxi in 7 minutes. Plenty of good restaurants are close by, as well as a few local bars to enjoy your morning coffee and maybe have a Madeiran breakfast. Please note: We are a "non-smoking" glamping site and please be aware that we have a "no-shoes" policy in our tent and in our outside bathroom. There is no heating provided but we can offer an additional blanket on request. We are not directly on the road, you need to walk therefore 50m through the banana plantation with easy-to-climb stairs. Please travel light with a rucksack or small trolley only and with suitable shoes. We recommend renting a car as the local buses are infrequent and stop early. You can park on the road free of charge. We have two friendly cats, and a visiting neighbour's cat too, and they all like to say hello from time to time. Our glamping site is ideally located in a natural area, where just a few houses are and no new once can be build at the moment, which is a rare find on the south side of the island. Several pebbled / sand beaches and hikes are close by and you can start your hike directly from us. Please note, that this is a "working" banana plantation and we take care of the plants on a daily basis but there is plenty of privacy for your stay to relax and indulge into nature.
