About this campground

Nicholaston Farm is a working family farm that has accommodated visitors from the 1920's. It is ideally located with access to beautiful beaches and coastal walking paths. An idyllic location for those who enjoy the outdoors, located centrally on the Wales Coastal Path for Gower.Just off the main road from Swansea on the Gower Peninsula, Nicholaston Farm is situated in a gradually sloping meadow facing southwards and overlooking Tor Bay, Crawley woods and the beautiful coastal regions stretching westwards in to the Bristol Channel.The farm has Pick-Your-Own fruit, and also our own seasonal vegetables, together with a farm shop and cafe.FacilitiesNicholaston Farm accepts and accommodates tents, campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans. We also can provide units with electrical hook up, including tents.The on-site facilities include: - Modern and clean toilet and shower blocks with underfloor heating - A family toilet room - Disabled toilet and shower room - Baby changing facilities - Free access to fridges and freezers - Dishwashing areas - Laundry room equipped with washing machine, tumble dryers and drying cabinets - Farm shop - CafeFruit PickingHere at Nicholaston Farm the fruit season generally begins in June and finishes July or August, depending on the season. Fruits available for picking during the season are; Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackcurrants, Redcurrants and Gooseberries. We also have seasonal vegetables which can be bought in our farm shop, such as; Potatos, Rhubarb, Broad Beans and Asparagus.Farm Shop and CafeOur farm shop is restocked daily with basic fresh produce (i.e bread, milk and eggs). As well as our own seasonal vegetables and other local produce, it also offers cold drinks and a selection of ice creams - essential after a day at the beach.The farm cafe is the ideal place to enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast, hot drink or try one our delicious homemade smoothies made with freshly squeezed orange juice.Local AttractionsNearby are many incredible walks through the surrounding woodlands and Cefn Bryn hill (located behind the farm), providing some of the most stunning views on Gower. Local attractions include the Gower Heritage Centre and Perriswood Archery. We are also located on the Wales Gower Coast path.The excellent Gower beaches are ideal for surfing, wind surfing, rock climbing or just relaxing in the summer sun. Other activites nearby include mountain biking, horse riding and hand/paragliding from Rhossili Down, there is still plenty to do even on a rare rainy day with Swansea just a 20 minute drive away.Swansea boasts great museums, cinemas, ten pin bowling and the newly finished LC2 - a fantastic leisure centre with a swimming pool and indoor water slides.Fruit PickingDirectionsVia CarFor those arriving via car, take Junction 42 of the M4, and follow signs for Gower, leading you on to the A4118. Continue to follow signs for Gower, past Swansea Airport. Drive though Penmaen, into Nicholaston and take a left turn at the signposted crossroads for 'Beynons Farm Caravan and Campsite'. By BusFor those arriving via train or bus into Swansea City Centre, take the 118 or 117 Gower Explorer Buses which leave every 40-60 minutes from Swansea Bus Station. Alight at the bus stop in Nicholaston, which is conveniently located 30 seconds walk to the entrance to the farm.
