**Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 7:00 am**. All visitors must leave the campground by 10:00pm. **All check-ins must arrive by 10:00 PM**. Anyone who arrives later will be turned away. **NO campfires.** Open burning is not permitted by bylaw, within the City of Nelson. **Behavior that is disruptive to other campers will not be tolerated**. Campground staff reserve the right to refuse service or ask campers to leave without a refund. **Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times**, while in the campground, shared building, or washrooms. **Washrooms are for campers only.** Please do not share the washroom door codes. **Do not leave your propane cylinders with us, or attempt to dispose of them in the recycling or garbage**. These are not recyclable and are considered hazardous. Please retain possession and responsibility for your own propane cylinders, **Pets are welcome** but must be on leash at all times. **Ensure the campground stays safe, clean and enjoyable for others.** **Tidy kitchen/laundry area after every use.** **Always clean up after your pets**, even in the wooded area. **Ensure food is secured from wildlife.** **Respect other camper and their sites.** **Only consume alcoholic beverages within your site.** **Place refundable or recyclable items in the appropriate bins**. Do not contaminate recyclable items with garbage, compostable or food waste. Do not throw cigarette buts, sunflower seeds, or pistachio/peanut shells on the ground. These must be collected and disposed in the garbage. **IMPORTANT WILDLIFE POLICY:** All camp guests visiting our campground MUST have a secure storage system for food items throughout the duration of their stay. Campground staff are committed to the safety and well-being of all camp guests, staff, community members, and visitors to our region. All food attractants must be eliminated to reduce human-wildlife interactions. **Notice: Personal Storage Policy** All personal items left behind at the City of Nelson Campground will be stored onsite for 30 days. After this period, any unclaimed items will be discarded. Thank you for your cooperation.

About this campground

Nestled in the heart of Nelson, the Nelson City Campground offers a scenic setting surrounded by mountains and overlooking beautiful Kootenay Lake. Just a five-minute walk from the vibrant downtown core, the campground provides convenient access to local shops, restaurants, and attractions while allowing guests to enjoy the area's natural beauty. The City of Nelson Campground is scheduled to close on October 16th. The last night of camping will be the night of October 15th! The Nelson City Campground operates within the City of Nelson and is governed by City of Nelson Bylaw No. 3268, Section 5.6. Please note that natural wood fires are not permitted anywhere on campground property.
