About this campground
Certified self-contained campervans can stay for up to two nights in any 30 day period in the signposted freedom camping area. Camping is now prohibited in the rest of the Naval Point area. Proof of self-containment is required. Regular monitoring and enforcement. Fines may apply. Take all rubbish with you. Camping in a public place in a tent or a vehicle without certified on-board facilities is banned throughout Christchurch district, including Banks Peninsula. If you want to camp in a non-self-contained vehicle or a tent, you need to stay at a camping ground where there are facilities you can use.
