About this campground

Murray Campground is located on the northern edge of Logan Valley on the south side of the Strawberry Mountains, providing an excellent base for exploring the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness. This small 6-site campground features compacted gravel and dirt entries, concrete extended tables, and raised fire rings. Hiking opportunities are numerous with three separate trailheads within 3 miles of the campground that lead into the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness: Lake Creek Trail, Meadow Fork Trail, and Snowshoe/Big Creek Trailhead. The campground is popular for hunting and stream fishing. It gets particularly busy during big game hunting season in late summer and early fall. The remote setting offers a peaceful mountain experience surrounded by forest and meadows, with opportunities for wildlife viewing and backcountry exploration.
