Directly on the Gürbetaler Höheweg and on the Jakobsweg, the whole nature park Gantrisch, the Thunersee region and the Bernese Oberland can be explored from here. The view of the Alpine chain with eiger, monk and virgin from the nearby Tavel Monument is always a pleasure. Wild animals (Fuchs, Hase, Reh, Dachs) run across the way without hope. In addition, the farms with their farm shops and grazing cows are not only nice to look at but also culinaryly interesting. Particularly worth mentioning is the nearby hamlet Fallenbach with its historical buildings and also Riggisberg offers with the Abegg Foundation a cultural highlight, which is unique throughout Switzerland. We are part of the Darks Sky Park: The light pollution is 20 times less than in agglomerations and thus can be viewed in clear nights the starry sky undisturbed.
