The campground is accessible via Highway 43 west from Wise River for approximately 30 miles, then north on Forest Road 185 for 12 miles. The maximum recommended trailer length is 20 feet due to the small size of the camping units. Pintler Campground operates seasonally from mid-June through September, weather permitting, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees or reservations required. The remote location and lakeside setting make it an ideal destination for anglers and campers seeking a quiet, rustic experience in southwest Montana's mountain country.
