About this campground

The site is ideally located for activities such as fishing and walking. It is in a small village location and there is a shop within two miles. Further a field within 5 miles you can find restaurants and bars.This site used to be known/operate as Laig House Caravan Site up until August 2003 but reopened during 2007 in response to local requests and to tourists still arriving looking for the site. This is a very small campsite with only space for a couple of caravans or motorhomes as you can’t park on the grass.

The ground is quite damp so could get quite muddy when it rains! £10 a night for 2, a tent and a car.The site has space for 6 tourers and 8 tents and offers great views out over the Minch. There are facilities which include hot showers, electric hookups and a chemical waste disposal point.Family run secluded site located on a croft in a scenic area (NSA). Bordered by a freshwater loch on one side and the sea on the other. Free fishing, hill walking and bird watching.A coastal base from which to tour the Western Isles. Onsite Facilities: •7-8 Tourers/Motorhomes •10 Tents (7 Hard standing) •4 Hookups •Chalet for Hire •Toilets •Showers •Chemical Disposal Point •Dish-washing •Pets Allowed •Spin Drier •Fishing •Not Sandy Beach DirectionsFive miles south east of Tarbert, Harris ferry boat port. Turn off A859 at Drinishader road end. Site is well signposted.
