We want to make your stay as comfy, relaxing and easy as possible so you can enjoy the spectacular surroundings that Pembrokeshire can offer. We love where we live, just one mile from the Pembrokeshire Coastal path (you can see glimpses of the sea through the trees), with a tiny beach, rockpools galore and all the sea and sky you could wish for. Nearby are the lovely fishing villages of Little Haven, and Solva, the amazing stretches of beach that are Broad Haven, Marloes and Newgale and the marine reserve Skomer Island. With something for everyone - from walking, cycling, horseriding on the beach, surfing, coasteering, sauntering around the magnificent St David's cathedral, or eating at award-winning restaurants, Pembrokeshire has so much to offer. Our eco campsite offers:- A Campsite with Fires Allowed - feel free to bring your own tent, caravan or motorhome- Luxury Yurt Camping (or Glamping) - 5 fully furnished mongolian yurts- Holiday Cottages - The Barn and The DairyYurtsLooking for comfort, luxury yet still have that down-to-earth outdoors experience? At Mill Haven Place we have the answer, our eco friendly Yurt holidays. Hire one of our traditional yurts and experience chilled camping (or “glamping” – as we’ve heard it called these days.)Yurt holidays in walesWe’re a family run site, with lots of experience of outdoor living, so we’re trying to provide facilities that mean your stay is as comfy and easy as possible (in amongst that “getting back to nature” experience of course!). To ensure this we have kept the site small, with only 4 holiday yurts and up to 5 tents, motorhomes or caravans. This means everyone on site can benefit from a little privacy or get to know their neighbours if they choose.Everyone has access to 2 hot showers, a family shower room, 2 flushing toilets as well as 2 compost loos for those that want to give something back! In addition each yurt and pitch has a campfire (lots of wood available), a BBQ and a picnic table. The yurts are clustered around a very young 2 acre woodland (trees planted in 2010) all within sight of one another and so give a great sense of camping community, creating a very safe environment for families. However, each one can provide enough privacy if you’re wanting to get away from it all, particularly outside of the main school holidays.Due to planning restrictions that protect this beautiful place, we became a camping and caravanning certified site in 2010, which means we are small, exclusive to members and meet their high standards. What to expect from our yurt holidaysWhen booking a yurt holiday with us you will arrive at our beautiful, Pembrokeshire eco campsite to a fully-furnished luxury yurt complete with external kitchen/dining area. We have 4 traditional mongolian yurts on site all surrounded by raised decking allowing you to chill out in the sun on one of our complementary deck chairs.- yurt double bed- Our yurts are 5 metres in diameter and are furnished with a double bed...- With each yurt hired you will enjoy:- A double bed- X2 futons- Internal stove with protective grill- A drawer for clothes and other bits and bobs- Picnic table and kitchen areas (under cover)- Plenty of pots and pans- Windbreak- Fire pit and grill- Lots of magical candles and fairy lights- yurt sofa chairs... 2 sofabed chairs, and additional mattresses for extra people.- yurt woodburning stoveInside are also beautiful handmade woodburning stoves that ensure you're nice and cosy at night.Outside, in an additional covered space is a fully equipped kitchen, with gas hob, all pots, pans and utensils, table and chairs and firepit for those campfire nights.CampingIn 2010 we welcomed tents, motorhomes and caravans for the first time. With a maximum of 5 on site it ensured that we never felt overcrowded and yet people were close enough to make friends, allow children to roam yet keep them in sight and still maintain their own privacy. The camp field is a 1 acre space and this autumn we will be planting more trees to provide a bit more shelter and privacy. Each pitch has a picnic table, a BBQ and a fire pit for campfires. There is a shower/toilet block a few metres from the field, with a family shower room with toilet and a further individual toilet and shower as well. There is also a fridge and freezer available and a huge log pile for chilled out campfires – wood is available at £4 for a big trug. Fancy a change or looking to book with other family or friends? The campfield is adjacent to the yurt field and quite a few people book pitches to accompany yurts ensuring they can be close to their friends and family “glamping” it! We even had people upgrading to the yurts when the weather wasn’t so kind! If this interests you, have a look at the yurt page here. Please note, that due to planning restrictions that protect this beautiful place, we became a camping and caravanning certified site in 2010, which means we are small, exclusive to members and meet their high standards.Outside, in an additional covered space is a fully equipped kitchen, with gas hob, all pots, pans and utensils, table and chairs and firepit for those campfire nights. So visit us today to sleep under starry big skies or swim, surf and play on Pembrokeshire’s spectacular beaches. Explore wild coastal beauty or historic gems. Sit around your own campfire. But mainly… just chill!ActivitiesIf you get tired of staring out to sea, what else is there to do in the area?bushcraftPembrokeshire can offer so much and we’re lucky enough to have our own Bushcraft Instructor, Matt, on site. We will be planning a range of activities for 2011 including Fire classes, Camp cookery, Camp craft and more. See our Bushcraft site for more info about Matt’s work. The great outdoors activity company TYF is just up the coast, and is the first carbon neutral outdoor adventure company. They invented coasteering (jumping in off rocks – love it!) and have been leading groups for over 20 years in this area, so if you’re wanting high adrenaline fun, or a relaxing canoe around the coastline, they’re the ones to call.Lots of brilliant places to eat and hang out and one of our favourites is just 15 minutes away at the Druidstone which has to be one of the most relaxed and beautiful places to have food and drink ever! The lovely hotel is set on the edge of the cliffs and you can enjoy the most spectacular sunsets whilst sitting eating and drinking wonderful food.
