Welcome to Mellington Hall Holiday Home Park in Churchstoke, Powys, a family owned establishment comprising of the mansion house itself set in 270 acres of park and farm land idyllic for cycling, coarse fishing and walking, with the Offas Dyke path running through the grounds.Peace and tranquillity is the main attraction at Mellington Hall Holiday Home Park, with the Hall and caravan park situated away from traffic, approximately one mile off the main road.The ParkMellington Hall Holiday Home Park is a committed family owned establishment comprising of the mansion house itself set in the stunning estate grounds.The holiday home park is a beautifully unique experience being situated one mile off the main road up a stunning tree lined private driveway for total peace and tranquillity. The Park is set in 270 acres of estate grounds with thousands of interesting rare trees planted by the late owner Mr Jack Evans.There is an abundant of wildlife here at Mellington with ducks, swans and geese swimming on the pool, rabbits running freely and woodpeckers pecking the trees. Kingfishers can be spotted flitting between the trees and over the pools. The Offa’s Dyke path runs through the grounds (Mellington Hall is the only hotel/caravan park on the whole of the Offa’s Dyke path) attracting many walkers throughout the season. There is access to dozens of local walks around the stunning countryside.Many of our customers comment on the upkeep of the park as the grounds are immaculately kept by park staff. Beautifully coloured rhododendron bushes bloom between the caravans during the summer months.We have an extended season as we are open for 12 months of the year for holiday purposes only. This is an attractive benefit as many parks close during the winter months.Holiday HomesThe static park consists of 95 static caravans all positioned on concrete bases. Each pitch receives computer controlled pumped spring water, a modern certificated electricity supply and nine channels of satellite television.Parking spaces are available by all static caravans with extra spaces for visitors. With the park being licensed to stay open for 12 months of the year, this is an attractive benefit for all of our customers to make the maximum use of their holiday home and to enjoy the park throughout all of the changeable seasons.Touring CaravansWe have 30 touring pitches. Some of these pitches are let out on a seasonal basis to suit customer requirements, with beautiful views overlooking the pool and the lush parkland and the remaining pitches are for touring caravans. Each pitch is equipped with Euro Bollards giving electricity, nine channels of satellite television, and water. Season pitches are available with drainage facilities. Each plot is hard standing with an adjacent stoned area for awnings. Parking is available.It is recommended that pitches are pre-booked especially for Bank Holiday weekends and school holidays as we get booked up quickly. Either come and stay with us for the weekend or to relax even more, an extended stay which many of our customers take advantage of to make you feel even more revived.There is a minimum of a three night booking for Bank Holiday weekends.We have a small camping area by the walled in garden for tents/trailer tents etc with electric hook-ups available.Storage facilities are also available at Mellington Hall in the locked compound in our walled-in garden. This is a popular facility here at Mellington as this saves towing your caravan to and fro thus saving on fuel. Should you wish to use your caravan, you would book a pitch as normal and we would bring out your caravan and place it on a pitch ready for you to use.The modern and clean shower block is situated just a short walk away from the touring park. We pride ourselves in the cleanliness of these facilities. We also have a disabled WC on site. The key for this facility is available from the office.With Mellington Hall being a small touring park, all arrivals/departures can be arranged when booking. We only ask for customers to leave by lunchtime if we need the pitch which is quite rare. Should this be the case however, customers are welcome to leave their caravan in the car park to the make the most of their stay with us.
