Lyme Regis (3 miles) is famous for its Cobb, an ancient harbour, and for its sandy beach. Visitors can meander round the narrow streets and browse the cafes, galleries and craft shops. There are wonderful rural and coastal landscapes and many things to do, including days on the beach, fossil hunting, walks along the coast and along the many footpaths, water sports, fishing, cycling, horseriding, golf, bowling, target shooting, etc. The nearest grocery shop is in Charmouth, very well stocked and open late. Charmouth also has 2 pubs, café, fish & chips, pharmacy and newsagents.
