A rural caravan Nutshell is also available for weekly hire.BarnsThe Llyn Gwynant Barns are large stone buildings separate from the campsite with their own private fields, a popular venue for weddings and other events as well as for large camping groups.The barns at Llyn Gwynant Campsite are Grade II Listed Buildings which have their own private camping fields and are only let to one group at a time.The extraordinary beauty of the setting and the flexible nature of the site makes the complex very popular for weekend events and the Function barn is licensed for weddings. Mid-week the barns may be used for large camping groups and outdoor pursuits advdenture schools. The large internal space makes this suitable for indoor study and activities as well as out of season indoor sleeping.Neither the barns nor their camping fields are visible from the public campsite although this is close.Caravans & MotorhomesCaravans and campervans: Only 10 caravans are allowed on site (15 on bank holiday weekends) and large vans and motorhomes must be on the hard standing by the lake.Nutshell CaravanIf you love privacy, the natural environment, and like to have a roof over your head, but don't require 5 star accommodation, then Nutshell caravan could be the place for you. Nutshell can accommodate at most 2 adults with up to 2 children. The caravan lies in a secluded woodland area with magnificent views over the lake.ActivitiesBoat hire and activities are available from the campsite riverside on weekends from June - August and most high season days when weather is suitable. We rent boats by the hour. Instruction in paddling and adventure activities such as gorge walking are available by prior arrangement.DirectionsThe campsite is accessed by taking a turn off the A498, just at the head of the lake, beside our large green campsite sign. Large vehicles such as motorhomes can only access by taking a left hand turn heading north (up the hill), and so you may need to turn in the layby beside the lake.The grid reference for the campsite is 648525. Note that a number of sat navs and on-line post code locators (such as MultiMap.com and StreetMap.co.uk) give incorrect locations for this postcode LL55 4NW and place the campsite at the wrong end of the lake!
