Explore Scotland’s Border countryThere is something for everyone around this peaceful, relaxing Club Site. A burn (stream)runs the full length of the site and there is plenty to see in the area, which is home to a variety of wildlife.The town of Lauder is four miles from site, where you can enjoy history, scenery and sightseeing options, including the 13th century Thirlestane Castle, one of the seven great houses of Scotland.The town also hosts a traditional Common Riding Festival during the summer.Walking options include the Southern Upland Way – which passes near the site – theLammermuir Hills, and further afield Arthur’s Seat offers fabulous views of Edinburgh.

The Scottish capital is just a bus ride away from site, with a variety of attractions including the castle, medieval buildings of the Royal Mile and a variety of shopping options.Other nearby attractions our visitors enjoy include Scotland’s National Mining Museum,the National Museum of Flight, Edinburgh Butterfly & Insect World and Royal YachtBritannia at Leith port.Railway station: Newcraighall for Park and Ride, Waverley - Edinburgh main line 22 miles.Bus stop: Outside site on routes to Edinburgh and Jedburgh.Worth noting: Ground is hard, steel pegs required.Four self-catering holiday chalets available, to book call 024 7647 5087.Eat Local: Shaws Butchers, Gilders Bakers and Williamson greengrocers all sell local produce. TheLodge serves good meals using local food. There is a farmers’ market every Saturday inEdinburgh. The Juniperlea restaurant 6 miles from site offers 10 per cent discount to our campers.
