Our Luxe tent is luxury camping at its finest. It includes a queen bed, an incredibly comfortable queen sleeper sofa, linens and quilt or down comforter, pillows, two sleeping pads on the floor for kids or hardy adults, fan, coffee/tea, towels, electricity & lights, mini refrigerator, wood stove, clothes organizer, and more. This glamping tent does not have a bathroom but our renovated cedar bath house is just a short walk away (about 300โ€™). This is the nicest campground bathroom you'll ever see, with tiled floors, live edge countertops, and new fixtures everywhere. It actually smells _good_ if you can believe that. And while the bath house is a shared space, don't worry about it being crowded--it gets minimal use because our campground is small and many of our guests will be staying in cabins with their own bathrooms. The bath house has 3 clean, individual showers with gloriously hot water. The tent is located in the recently renovated campground, a nearly 100-year-old tourist attraction located in Freeport. The Desert is 25 acres of rolling sand dunes in the middle of a lush Maine forest, a natural phenomenon created during the last ice age. The tourist attraction includes self-guided tours about the history and geology of the Desert, exhibits for kids, a train ride, and a new mini golf course! The campground is quiet and serene, surrounded by tall northern pines and the โ€œdesertโ€ dunes. There is a 24x7 Camp Store where you can buy bundled wood, snacks, drinks, ice cream, ice, and other essentials. We also have lawn games like corn hole, bocce, hook & ring, and more. Come unwind and make magical memories here! ACCESS You will have the entire glamping tent on a dedicated campsite, all to yourself. In addition, you will have access to our renovated, cedar bath house which is just steps away, with individual showers. ADDITIONAL RULES - The campground is a quiet, serene place. Please act accordingly. - โ€‹Quiet Hours are from to 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Guests arriving or departing during quiet hours, should pretend the campground is filled with light-sleeping, hardened street fighters who just start scrapping when they are awoken. If someone is not respecting quiet hours, please call or text us. Guests who violate our quiet hours policy will be given one warning. After the first warning, they will be asked to leave. - โ€‹โ€‹All vehicles must park at their assigned site or in designated parking areas. Do not block the road or prevent access to other sites. Max of one (1) vehicle per site. Additional vehicle parking is available in the larger parking lot near the entrance to the campground. - Drive slowly (10 mph max) within the campground. - We love dogs. We accept all scruffy-duffy boys and girls (i.e. well-behaved dogs) regardless of breed. Other types of pets are not allowed. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and must not be left unattended. Unfortunately, dogs who bark too much are probably stressed out by the camping experience so we will have to ask their owners to help them calm down or take them back home. Guests must clean up after their dog(s). - Alcohol is permitted within assigned sites for guests of legal drinking age. Do not take alcohol outside the assigned site. Please do not get out of control or you will be asked to leave. - Campfires are only permitted in the provided fire rings. Do not leave fires unattended. Do not move the fire rings. Do not burn cans, glass, or trash. - Firewood is available for purchase 24x7 (self-service, honor system) at the Camp Store. Do not bring outside firewood. - Firearms are prohibited on the premises. - Fireworks are prohibited on the premises.
