Lake George Battleground Campground is a New York State DEC facility located just 1/4 mile south of the popular Lake George Village. Established in 1927, the campground has grown to include 68 tent and trailer sites, making it one of four DEC campgrounds operated on and around Lake George. The location offers an exceptional combination of natural beauty, historical significance, and convenient access to area attractions. The campground sits on the site of numerous colonial-era military activities, and visitors can explore the remains of these historic fortifications via a self-guided interpretive trail at the adjacent Battlefield Park.
