The Countryside Code ensures that the countryside remains a pleasant and safe place for everyone to visit. While you are with us, we would like you to remember the following:Enjoy the countryside and respect its life and work. We are a working farm, and the farm itself is not open to the public - but there are two 'open farms' close by. We try to minimise farming activity and noise near the campsite, but please remember that some things like haymaking just have to be done when the weather is right.Dogs are welcome under control, but please keep them on leads at all times when on footpaths and bridleways. Please don't let them bark continuously - for the sake of other visitors as well as the livestock and wildlife.Please keep to public paths across farmland. You will come across cattle, sheep and horses on our footpaths... Please leave livestock, crops and machinery alone - and be wary of all the animals you come across.Use gates and stiles to cross fences, hedges and walls, and always close gates behind you. Fences are there to keep animals in and people out - they are there for safety reasons and should not be crossed.Take all rubbish home with you, help to keep all water clean and protect wildlife, plants and trees.Please take special care on country roads.Try not to make too much noise - loud noise disturbs both animals and other people. Please respect other people's privacy.Be aware of fire hazards - do not light fires or drop cigarettes.The Purbeck hills are a great place to fly kites - but please not on the site or near livestock. We would be happy to show you the best places away from other caravans and animals.
