About this campground
Our favorite place is on the charming grounds of the old paper factory in Neu Kaliss. Located directly on the Elde River, a tributary of the Elbe, you can stroll through this charming lost place, visit the exhibition about history, go kayaking to the old mill or to Dömitz in the nature reserve. You can also go fishing or the bike path of the Elbe invites you to ride by bike. Whoever waits for plots or the sensation of a traditional campsite, you will not find it here. But there is industrial culture, charm of lost place and wild nature even more! Here is a unique natural place to spend a few days relaxing away from the big city.

The old brick buildings are home of falcons, storks and milanes, there are deer in the fields and in the morning you wake up the sheep or chickens in freedom. The terrace at sunset on the island, with a swing and comfortable garden furniture, invites you to stay and for the evenings often there is a fireplace or a spontaneous film on the large screen. In the enclosure you will find, among other things paper, the Kontorhaus, where you are currently developing various creative projects and houses the old island.
