About this campground
A scenic marina, campground, RV park and cabin rental on historic Lake Talquin, Florida. Nestled between the cities of Tallahassee and Quincy, in the beautiful panhandle of Florida, Lake Talquin provides a quintessential old Florida feel. Originally constructed in the 1920’s to bring hydroelectric power to the area through the Jackson Bluff Dam, the dead trees and stumps still found throughout the lake are reminders of the floodplain forests of old it was built upon. This hidden gem holds a nationwide record for the largest speck (crappie) and is also home to largemouth and striped bass, bream, pickerel (jack), gar, catfish and bowfin.
