There you can visit the Xanten Archaeological Park, which is one of the largest Roman archaeological sites north of the Alps, or you can stroll through the well-preserved old town with its impressive cathedral. Xanten also offers various leisure activities such as cycling along the Rhine or water sports on the Xanten North and South Lakes. In addition, in the summer, from morning to evening, there are very likely to be a few cows grazing in a separate meadow right next to you.
