Weitas Creek Campground is a small, primitive campground nestled in the remote North Fork of the Clearwater corridor of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. Located approximately 35 miles northeast of Pierce, Idaho, this no-fee campground offers just six campsites along the shady banks of Weitas Creek, accessible via a bridge crossing from the north side of the North Fork of the Clearwater River. The campground's appeal lies in its scenic location surrounded by dense forest, with Weitas Creek running through and providing a peaceful natural setting.

Despite being primitive and remote, Weitas Campground tends to fill quickly during the height of summer recreation season due to its limited capacity and prime fishing access. Trail #20 departs from the campground heading south and then east, offering miles of excellent bank fishing opportunities along Weitas Creek before eventually connecting with Forest Service Road 500, the historic Lolo Motorway. This is a pack-in, pack-out facility with no garbage services, potable water, or fees. Access requires traveling on Forest Service roads, and winter accessibility may be limited by snow conditions. The remote location and primitive nature make it ideal for experienced campers seeking solitude and quality fishing in Idaho's backcountry.
