About this campground
Overview Located in Shepley, Huddersfield the campsite is a level grass field and offers electric and non-electric pitches in a rural setting. Situated right beside The Pennine Way and a short drive to The Peak District – it’s perfect for those of you who love walking. The TV famous Holmfirth known for “The Last of The Summer Wine” and Cannon Hall Farm at Barnsley are only a 10–20-minute drive away so you won’t be stuck for things to do and it’s perfect for children. We are located on the outskirts of Shepley Village which provides shops and pubs which are only a short walk and with a bus stop located just outside the campsite you won’t be stuck for transport.

This provides services to Holmfirth, Huddersfield, Penistone, Wakefield and Denby Dale interchange. If you are interested in farming or tractors, we are big collectors of the David Brown tractor which were originally manufactured in the nearby village of Meltham and with permission from Philip (the owner), you are welcome to come and view this fantastic collection. This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example. *Tents are not permitted on some CS sites in Scotland. 1 acre, level.
