About this campground
ProfileOur Campsite is just a stone’s throw from the North Sea, behind the dike in Upleward, in the municipality of Krummhörn. It is an ideal place for holidays, where you can find peace and quiet and simply unwind. And the …fresh and salty North Sea air comes free! In the surrounding area from Emden to Norden there are lots of interesting destinations that are easy to reach by bike. Many minor roads and trails with no traffic start right from the site so you can enjoy relaxed cycling. If you want a bit more space, or would like to travel spontaneously without having to pack too much, we would be pleased to give you details of our rental properties.

The chalets offer the comfort of small holiday homes and are fully equipped. UNESCO has declared the Wattenmeer part of the world natural heritage site. Because the people of Ostfriesland love their mudflats, you will find the only “dry beach” on the coast here, directly behind the dike. A playground, basket chairs and a beach volleyball court make this an inviting spot for relaxation. For the children there are playgrounds on the campsite and also right next to it on the dry beach. During the summer holidays there are activity leaders to look after the children. When the tide is in, you can swim and surf in the North Sea right behind the dike.
