In order to protect our Kentucky forests, we ask that you do not bring firewood from out of state to the campground. We have firewood available and firewood may also be purchased locally. At this point, we do not have fire rings at any of the individual campsites, you are free to use a portable fire pit that is self contained and does not leace any remains behind. * Dispose of garbage in designated receptacles. Two dumpsters are provided at the campground for the use of our guests. Please bag your garbage and place it into the dumpster. Guests with additional vehicles should park them in front of the office. * Winterization: We are open year round, and Kentucky will have freezing weather often in the months of October through March. Occasionally we will even have short periods where the temperature drops below 0 degrees. Because of this, we ask that you use a heated hose during freezing weather and we will work with you to help you avoid damage to your camper as well as avoid damaging our park equipment. We also ask that you use the propane heater in your camper, and refrain from using electric heaters. Your heater is designed to protect your camper and its systems. Using an electric heater not only increases the utility bill, but interferes with the proper functioning of your camper's heating system. * Auto transformers are not allowed to be used at the campground at this time. There are charging stations available on the Western Kentucky Parkway near Beaver Dam, at Casey's General Store in Central City and a free charging station is located at Pogue Chevrolet in nearby Powderly. * Vehicle washing: We ask that you check with the office before you wash your vehicle. We may allow it for an extra fee, but may ask you to do it in a spot that won't leave a mess on a gravel pad. * RV repairs: Being RV owners ourselves, we realize that RV sometimes stands for Repair Vehicle. We do ask that you check with us if you need to repair something on your vehicle. We have contacts for some mobile RV repair services and may be able to even help you with some minor repairs. But we will not allow anything that will disrupt the other guests or be unsightly in any way. * Campground safety: Please exercise caution around electrical wires. The campground is not responsible for injuries, lost property or damage caused by fire, windstorms or other incidents. Guests assume any risks or hazards created by other occupants of the park. It is recommended that you secure any valuable belongings. * Firearms: Firearms are not to be brandished in any way and are not to be discharged in any unlawful way. We are within the city limits of Drakesboro. There are private shooting ranges in the area. We welcome fishermen and hunters, but we ask that you be discrete about the handling of any game animals or fish you may harvest. Please do not dispose of offal in the dumpster. Dressing of game should be done in the field as much as possible. *. Off road vehicles: Drakesboro is known for being the host of semiannual mud fests. We invite you to camp here, but ask that you do not operate the off-road vehicles or any ATV, UTV in the RV Park. We also ask that you do not wash off the muddy vehicles here at your site. We will have designated spaces for you to park your trailers on those days. Many of our guests are contract workers who work very long days and stay here because it is quiet. If you can’t work within these guidelines, please find somewhere else to stay for these events. * Alcohol Policy: We understand that you may want to consume adult beverages during your stay. However, we ask that you please do not display any open containers of alcohol products. Maintain your sobriety while in the public spaces. Do not drink alcohol in the public spaces. We will not tolerate loud, drunken or unruly behavior that is disruptive to our other guests. We will strictly enforce our quiet hours of 10 PM to 7 AM. * Illegal drugs: We have a zero tolerance policy for illegal drugs. Violation of this rule will result in immediate eviction and contact with the Sheriff's Department. Legal notice: By law, Hopewell RV Park is a service oriented business and therefore does not have a tenant/landlord relationship with any daily/weekly/monthly guests. If you leave without paying, we will collect or prosecute under the THEFT OF SERVICES law. Management reserves the right to revoke utilization of our park or refuse entry to any person who has evidenced a disregard for the rules, without a refund.
