About this campground
Embrace the charm of yesteryear with an RV camping experience that transports you back in time to a historic train depot, where the whistle of the past still echoes through the dedication of local heroes. On March 10, 2010, a band of locality's caring residents banded together with a mission: to shield an iconic piece of Hebron, Maryland's history from the tragic fate of the bulldozer. Through the tireless efforts of steadfast volunteers and a budget that emphasized passion over dollars, this quintessential historical edifice has been transformed.

Admire the exterior's newfound resilience, now fortified, termite-free, with a fresh coat of paint, a gleaming new roof, and an upstanding new chimney. Peek inside, and you'll witness progress, a work-in-progress tapestry of history being carefully woven back to its original splendor. Envisioned as the future heartbeat of the community, plans are underway to open a museum that will narrate the tale of the town's symbiotic relationship with the railroad. Whether you are a history buff, a railway enthusiast, or a lover of community spirit, park your RV and step into a story where 'The Little Engine that Could' is more than a taleit's a living, breathing journey. The preservationists welcome visitors with open arms, eager to share their ongoing labor of love. While there is no obligation, guests who wish to contribute to the depot's resurrection can easily donate via the website, fueling the dream one small contribution at a time. For RV campers seeking more than just a stopover, this is a place where you can witness history being honored and preserved for generations to come.
