Hertrich Park (RA)

FACILITIES: There are no toilet or shower facilities, but the is a picnic table, shelter and a tap for water. The nearest dump point is located at the Esk Caravan Park. There is a water filling station across the road just before the entrance to the Show Grounds. It is 50cents per 150 litres. THINGS TO DO: Esk is a pictur-esk old railway town that sits below the Glen Rock Monolith. It sits on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. It has a large variety of heritage buildings that now house a variety of modern business, cafes, antique shops and galleries. It is a very dog friendly town with a large dog exercise area at Hertrich park and several cafes that permit dogs on the premises. There is also the Brisbane Valley Ostrich and Fish Farm to visit and the markets are held in the park every Saturday. There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the nearest town or village.
