About this campground
Heron's Bend Reserve area is popular for camping and bushwalking. It is located along the Murray River in the Riverland region of South Australia. The reserve includes the eight-kilometre Overland Corner Walking Trail, which takes you past some old Aboriginal campsites. There are also some excellent examples of red gum, black box, and river coolabah trees in the reserve. The Heron's Bend Reserve is a great place to visit for a weekend getaway or camping trip. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy, such as bushwalking, fishing, swimming, and birdwatching. You can also visit the historic Overland Corner Hotel, which is located just a short walk from the reserve.
