Headquarters Campground — Salton Sea State Recreation Area

Overall, this campsite offers a beautiful and clean environment with friendly staff and well-maintained facilities, making it a pleasant choice for campers. Many reviewers appreciate the stunning views and cooler temperatures compared to the surrounding desert. However, some guests noted that sites can be close together, and there can be occasional unpleasant smells depending on the wind. Additionally, access to water is somewhat challenging, and showers require tokens, which may be inconvenient for some.
