Harvest Hosts Farm

While visiting the alpaca farm they discovered it was for sale as the current owner was in her last days having fought a tough battle with cancer. They made a full price offer and ended up purchasing the farm that came with one duck, two donkeys, a llama, several alpacas and chickens…. They closed the deal and four days later the farms original founder, Mary, transitioned to her eternal life! The Fenn's quickly renovated the house, painted the barn blue, added a blue goat barn, and had built a guest barn with an 800 sq. ft. observation deck accessed via above ground boardwalk. The guest barn serves as a visitors center and it’s a wonderful place to feed and interact with the animals! At night the deck offers amazing views of the stars while frogs serenade you from the banks of the large pond a few hundred feet away. A few months later the Fenn's added Fernando, an adorable chocolate brown llama, and they added 8 more turkeys and several more goats. The goat heard is friendly and the visitors love playing with them. The herd includes Kiko’s, American Pygmy, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, and several other breeds. Today more than 60 animals call the sanctuary home, 50+ acres of pristine rolling hills, woods, and beautiful pastures. Each November the Fenn’s host an alpaca festival free to all visitors that includes bouncy houses, a 75’ obstacle course, food trucks, artisan vendors, and live music! The sanctuary is a destination for several elementary school field trips, families and locals, and the farm was featured on HGTV’s hit show Home Town, based out of nearby Laurel. Most visitors are Home Town fans who visit Laurel because of the popular tv show. The Fenn’s welcome RV’ers free of cost and encourage visitors to enjoy the sanctuary with its very people-friendly animals who love the interaction. FREE... we do not charge anyone for anything.
