Its very rare with domestic animals; but sometimes, for reasons I can't predict, the dogs and your pets might just not get along with eachother. Our dogs have to be able to roam the property to do thier job. So if there is tension between animals you might need to decide to abandon your stay here and go somewhere else or if you choose to stay anyway, for the safety of everyone, you might need to keep your pet in your rig. Thier job is to scare off predators. If thier is a wild animal on the hunt prowling within scent range of the farm they will bark at it. Even if its the middle of the night. Enjoy the sound knowing the barking means you are safe from wild animals tonight. The dogs are protecting you. You are responsible for all actions of your pets and kids and thier safety while on the farm. Use responsible judgement about when to leash and when to let them off leash. Generally, keep all pets within sight. Pet waste can go in the camp privy toilet. Special Note for the 2025 growing season. Supplies of fresh foods are limited. If you arrive on Wed or on the weekend when we go to farmers market, there's a good chance we will be picked out and won't have any inventory of ripe food in the garden. We still have our kitchen items like fig leave syrup, oatmilk and apple butter and award winning wines and ciders delivered to the farm by Eaglmount, or if you prefer, you can make a donation to our local farmers market SNAP food security assistance program.
