Harvest Hosts Farm

This little farm is called The Shepherdess in honor of my affinity for the little motherless lambs I tended as a child. It was my first chore, and they were my first love. Each morning I would carry a huge bottle of milk across the road and stick it through the pasture fence. The little ones would latch onto the nipple of that bottle and drink so forcefully it felt like they might pull me through the fence to their side. The Shepherdess commemorates my experience of bonding with the little ones and my fondness for them. A Shepherdess cares for her flock, and The Shepherdess is also a remembrance of my years in congregational ministry. I retired back here in the home of my youth to share it, in hospitality toward other travelers. Welcome!
