About this campground
In the heart of Haparanda only half a kilometer away from the Finnish border is River Motel & Camping. River Motel & Camping is located right next to Torneälven, which, in addition to being the boundary between Sweden and Finland, is also the Baltic Sea's most important river for the reproduction of wild salmon. The campsite has 43 pitches for motorhomes and caravans. All of the pitches are equipped with electricity. If you wish to camp, you can also do that. The motel, which is part of the campsite, has 30 rooms with a total of 99 beds. Everything from twin rooms, family rooms and simpler economy rooms for overnight stays are available here.

Most of the rooms are also equipped with a TV and private bathroom. If you wish to book a room or terrace and look out over the Torneälven, you can also do that. In the common dining area there is a kitchen with stove, microwave and kettle. Outside in the camping area, there is also a barbecue that you can use. The charismatic Dimitri, who owns and runs River Motel & Camping, knows Swedish, Finnish, English and Russian. He will do everything for you to enjoy yourself here!
