Gjeilo Camping

The campsite is located down by the river bank and has a nice sandy beach. You can both swim and fish in the river. We also have canoes and kayaks for hire. The campsite has a barbecue area and a small playground. Free internet. Plenty of space for tents, motorhomes and caravans on the campsite. The campsite has sanitary facilities with toilets/showers, a kitchen and a laundry room. For motorhomes and caravans, we have a waste room for a chemical toilet as well as an emptying station for gray water. Fresh mountain water for refilling tanks. All this is free. We have ten cabins for rent at the campsite. All of these have beds for 4 people. There is also a dining area, hob and a fridge in all cabins, as well as duvets and pillows. There is no equipment in the cabins beyond this. Duvet covers and pillows can be rented at reception. On the farm, about 200 meters from the campsite, we have Gamlestugu for rent. This is a charming little house from the 19th century. Gamlestugu has 2 bedrooms. One has 2 single beds next to each other, and the other has a bunk bed. The house also has a kitchen/living room and bathroom. Here there are cups and dishes and other kitchen equipment. There is both electricity and wood burning here.
