About this campground

Frog Lake Campground is a beautiful and somewhat rustic campground located on the north shore of Frog Lake in Mount Hood National Forest. Set at an elevation of 3,800 feet between Highway 26 and the lake, this small campground is situated in a heavily forested area where the sounds of frogs can be heard at night. The 10-acre Frog Lake is open to fishing for rainbow trout, swimming, canoeing, and non-motorized boating only. A day use area provides picnicking facilities and access to the boat ramp. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes just north of the campground off Forest Road 2610.

A hiking trail leads east up Frog Lake Buttes, and an unimproved forest road provides access for mountain biking and high-clearance off-road vehicles. The Sno-Park at Frog Lake, located about 12 miles east of Government Camp, provides winter trail access to Twin Lakes and Frog Lake Butte. The campground is wheelchair accessible and offers a peaceful mountain setting with opportunities for fishing, paddling, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Each site includes a table and campfire ring with grill. Firewood is available for purchase from the campground host. Sites are limited to vehicles 22 feet or shorter.
