Beach Campground at Fort Worden Historical State Park occupies a prime location between Artillery Hill's high bluffs and the beaches of Point Wilson at the entrance to Puget Sound. The campground features 50 spacious, level sites with full hookups including water, electric, and sewer, with most offering views of Admiralty Inlet and opportunities to spot Mount Baker on clear days. Restrooms with showers are centrally located, and the campground provides easy access to miles of saltwater beach for exploring tide pools, beachcombing, and viewing the historic Point Wilson Lighthouse.

The park encompasses a sprawling historic military fort with extensive trails, gun batteries, museums, and interpretive opportunities. Campers can explore 12 miles of hiking trails and 8.3 miles of biking trails throughout the park's diverse landscapes of forest, meadow, and shoreline. The campground is within walking distance of the historic upper campus, which features converted military buildings now housing cafes, restaurants, and the Port Townsend Marine Science Center. On-site amenities include a camp store with essentials and firewood, kayak and SUP rentals during summer months, and multiple dining options. The park's 2 miles of shoreline offer opportunities for scuba diving, crabbing, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
