About this campground
Seeking seclusion, scenery and space? Willow Acres Campsite has the lot in good measure – and with lots of extras thrown in for free too. Located on Lasgarn Farm, in Torfaen countryside and with fine Brecon Beacons and Severn Estuary views, this peaceful site is run by third-generation farmers looking for eco-friendly ways to support the future of their farm, and who care passionately about the environment (as you’ll see from the compost loo and the handmade wooden shower cubicles). Pitches here have been created from individually cut areas in a lovely wild meadow, with plenty of space for up to six guests on each one.

The space is yours to use as you please – there are no extra charges for dogs, cars or extra tents, making these pitches a great option for families or small groups. Outdoor evenings here are a real highlight – each pitch has a firepit provided, with a stack of firewood for you to use for free as well. Have a go at cooking your dinner over flames, or wander up to the fabulous covered outdoor kitchen to create something more elaborate (it’s fully set up with a gas hob and all the dishes and pots and pans you might require, so there’s no need to bring much with you). Please bring a torch as this is a dark-skies site, with no light after dark but the chance to spot the Milky Way glittering far above on clear nights. Pontypool (10 minutes’ drive) is just down the road if you fancy a night out at the pubs and restaurants though.
