The field is south facing and exposed to the sun all day.FacilitiesWe have facilities for chemical waste disposal and mains water, there also also portable chemical toilets situated at the bottom of the camping field for the whole season. The site is more suited for people who want to get away from noise to have peace and quiet. We are a mile away from Oxwich Village which has a local shop, bar and various cafes and restaurants. Oxwich Bay is a popular beach which is about 2 miles long and is open to boats and other water sports.Things to doThere are many activities to suit all types of people from the adventerous to those who enjoy peace and quiet. With in a short distance you will find:- watersports and boat trips, ideal for those who are keen on fishing. www.euphoriasailing.com , www.wsfsurfschool.co.uk . For those who want to explore Gower on horseback you can pony trek across wide open fields and beaches with www.parc-le-breos.co.uk or maybe a round of golf is more your style. www.explore-gower.co.uk/golf . For the Historians there is our very own Castle at Oxwich which stands proud in grounds overlooking Oxwich Bay. The castle is now cared for by Cadw, the Welsh ancient monument body. In the next village of Penrice is Gowers largest castle which is situated in the grounds of Penrice Park. www.cadw.Wales.gov.uk .A few miles away there is Parkmill Heritage Centre which demonstrates how the farming community came together at harvest time to produce flour. The mill has now been restored to working order, it has various craft shops within, for that perfect present. Ducks and swans swim freely along the mills watercourse and children can observe and learn all about the wildlife. www.gowerheritagecentre.co.ukAfter a busy day exploring, playing or just relaxing the Oxwich Bay Hotel offers the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of wine or beer with your meal. www.oxwichbayhotel.co.uk The field is relatively quiet in low season and there is no need to book for tents, however because my licence is only for 5 caravans/campervans or motorhomes so it is advisable to book to insure there is available space. For weekends and Bank holiday booking is advisable.Well behaved pets are more than welcome but must be kept under control as there is stock in nearby fields and cleaned up after at all times.
