About this campground

Elk Prairie Campground sits within Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, a 14,000-acre sanctuary of old-growth coast redwoods designated as a World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Preserve. The campground offers 75 sites, including four ADA accessible cabins, nestled in a verdant forest setting where Roosevelt elk graze in nearby meadows and black-tailed deer roam freely. The campground provides year-round hot showers, flush toilets, and potable water, making it an ideal base camp for exploring the park's extensive trail system of over 75 miles through ancient redwood forests and along wild beaches.
