About this campground

The Arcadia Backpack Camping Area provides a primitive backcountry camping experience within Rhode Island's expansive Arcadia Management Area, which spans over 14,000 acres of forested land. Located in Exeter, just minutes from Route 95 and the Connecticut border, this tent-only campsite is situated approximately one-third mile behind a gated access point along Escoheag Hill Road. The site accommodates up to 30 people and features basic amenities including a fire ring, nearby pavilion with picnic tables, and a vault toilet. Campers must hike in their gear from the parking area along the road.
