About this campground
Located near the Hopewell Day Lodge on Middletown Road off Clarksville Road at Caesar Creek State Park, Hopewell Backpack Camp is a primitive group camping option. Despite its name suggesting backcountry camping, this is a designated campsite accessible by vehicle and managed through the reservation system. The park explicitly states that all overnight camping must be in designated camp sites, and there are no true backpacking or primitive camping sites available at Caesar Creek. The camp provides minimal amenities typical of primitive camping, with no bathroom facilities or water available on-site. Campers should plan accordingly and bring all necessary water and supplies.
