About this campground
Ore Hill Tent Site is a primitive backcountry camping destination located in the White Mountain National Forest near Warren, New Hampshire. The site originally featured a shelter, but it was destroyed by arsonists in fall 2011. Today, the site offers two primitive tent pads for backpackers seeking a backcountry experience. The tent site includes basic amenities: a privy on-site and a water source located approximately 250 feet south of the main site on a side trail. As a backcountry site, campers should be prepared for primitive conditions and follow Leave No Trace principles. The site is free and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations.

Ore Hill Tent Site is accessible year-round for experienced backpackers, though winter conditions in the White Mountains can be severe. Standard White Mountain National Forest regulations apply, including restrictions on camping within a quarter-mile of trailheads and developed sites, and no camping above treeline except on adequate snow cover.
