About this campground

Willow Creek Campground offers a primitive camping experience in the Kootenai National Forest, approximately 19 miles northeast of Trout Creek on Forest Road 154. This small campground features just 6 sites, each equipped with a tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring. The campground can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length, with gravel roads and parking spurs providing adequate access. As a first-come, first-served facility, no reservations are accepted and no fees are charged. The campground operates on a pack-in/pack-out policy, and campers should bring their own drinking water as none is available on-site. Vault toilets are provided for visitor convenience.

The campground is managed from Memorial Day through Labor Day but remains accessible year-round, weather permitting. Winter access depends on snow conditions and road maintenance. A 16-day stay limit applies to all National Forest lands in the area. Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash, and fireworks are prohibited on National Forest lands.
