During normal operations, three restroom facilities provide flush toilets, showers, drinking water, and dish washing stations. Dump stations are available on both sides of the campground. Day-use amenities include playgrounds, picnic sites, basketball and volleyball courts, and a picnic shelter. The West River Trail, built along an abandoned railroad grade, stretches 16 miles through the area connecting South Londonderry, Jamaica, and Townshend. The trail provides hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing opportunities with access to Angel Falls and Hamilton Falls. Ball Mountain Lake offers a car-top boat launch, shore fishing, and swimming. The West River is known for controlled whitewater releases from Ball Mountain Dam, typically scheduled for the first weekend in May and last weekend in September, attracting rafting and kayaking enthusiasts from across New England.
