About this campground
Celina Southslope Loop is part of the Indian-Celina Lake Recreation Area, a tranquil getaway in the midst of Hoosier National Forest in south-central Indiana. This is one of two campground loops in the recreation area, featuring 27 campsites with electric hookups designed to accommodate RVs of various lengths. All sites have paved parking surfaces and are equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills. The loop provides centralized facilities including flush toilets, hot showers, and drinking water. The recreation area is set among dense hardwood and pine forests between 164-acre Celina Lake and 152-acre Indian Lake.

Both lakes offer excellent fishing for catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie, with boat ramps open year-round (electric and non-motorized boats only). An accessible fishing pier is available on Celina Lake. The 16-mile Two Lakes Loop National Recreation Trail encircles both lakes, offering opportunities for day hikes through peaceful forests. The historic 1874 Rickenbaugh House and adjacent cemetery provide cultural interest, and the 1-mile Rickenbaugh Interpretive Trail offers an easy hike. The campground is managed by BA Services under a special use permit from the Forest Service. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov. Firewood brought onto National Forest land must be kiln-dried, have bark removed, or carry an Indiana DNR compliance stamp.
