Tobacco River Campground is a small, rustic campground located approximately 5 miles west of Eureka in the Kootenai National Forest. The campground features 6 designated campsites situated along the Tobacco River in a natural forested setting. Each site includes a table and fire ring. The facility offers basic amenities including a vault toilet and an undeveloped boat ramp suitable for small packable boats. The campground is accessible via Pidgeon Bridge Road 7277, with gravel access and campground roads that can accommodate RVs up to 20 feet in length. The elevation is approximately 2,460 feet.

The campground is within the vicinity of Lake Koocanusa, a 90-mile-long reservoir on the Kootenai River, and provides opportunities for fishing, river recreation, and scenic viewing. This is a pack-in, pack-out facility with no potable water or trash service. Visitors must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. A 16-day stay limit applies to all National Forest System Lands in the area.
