McBride Campground is a small, rustic 10-unit campground located along Brooks Ditch in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, northwest of Halfway, Oregon. The campground sits within a mixed pine-fir forest that provides ample shade during the summer months. With its peaceful setting at moderate elevation, the campground attracts local campers and berry pickers during the summer season, and becomes a popular base camp for hunters during the fall. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets and picnic tables at each campsite, but campers must bring their own water as none is available on-site.

Sites accommodate both tents and trailers, with overnight fees of $10 per night paid at a self-service station. Access requires navigating Forest Road 7710, which includes sections of single-lane steep gravel road, so visitors should be prepared for mountain driving conditions. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Pets must be kept on leash at all times. The campground operates on a seasonal schedule and is not maintained during the off-season winter months.
