About this campground
Stillwater Campground is located along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway at an elevation of 8,500 feet in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The campground sits at the scenic confluence of the Stillwater Fork and Hayden Fork, providing excellent fly-fishing opportunities for cutthroat and brook trout. The area is situated among a thin forest of pine and aspen trees with summer wildflowers and grasses dotting the landscape. The campground offers 21 single sites and multiple group sites, with vault toilets and drinking water available during the operating season.

Popular activities include fishing on both forks, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding on the numerous trails that crisscross this beautiful region. The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway provides access to numerous high alpine lakes and streams, breathtaking scenic viewpoints, and trails leading into the High Uintas Wilderness. The campground is located 32 miles south of Evanston, Wyoming, and approximately 46 miles from Kamas, Utah, along Highway 150. A 14-day stay limit applies during the operating season.
